What we collect
When you use our enquiry or quotation forms we collect the details you provide: your name, phone number, email address (optional), property location and a description of the work you need.
Why we collect it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange a site inspection.
- To prepare and send you a quotation.
- To keep a record of our communication with you.
We do not sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who sees it
Website form submissions are stored in a restricted-access MySQL database hosted with our website provider. An email notification may also be sent to our team; email delivery is a notification channel and the enquiry record is retained in the database. Access to the enquiry dashboard is limited to authorised staff. If you choose to continue on WhatsApp, the message you send is handled by WhatsApp under its own terms. This site also loads Google Fonts and an embedded Google Map, which may transmit technical information to Google under its policies.
How long we keep it
We retain enquiry records only for as long as reasonably necessary to manage the enquiry, any resulting customer relationship, and applicable legal or accounting obligations. The business must apply and periodically review a documented retention and secure-deletion schedule. Technical security logs may be retained for a shorter period to prevent abuse.
Your rights
You may ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request deletion where legally appropriate. Email info@maafricahomes.co.za and we will respond. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za.
Security and responsible access
We use access controls and reasonable technical measures to protect enquiry records. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please do not include unnecessary sensitive personal information in the enquiry form.
